Obituary of Paul Lisi
Paul Lisi passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home with loved ones by his side on Saturday, November 25, 2023 in Hackettstown. He had shared nearly 93 years of unconditional love, infectious laughter, and priceless memories with family and friends.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY to the late James and Lena Lisi, he was one of three children to bless their household. After graduating from High School Paul went on to earn his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from The City College of New York. He was an exceptional Engineer, having worked for many years with ITT Avionics in Nutley, NJ before retirement at age 68. During his employment Paul had many accomplishments; most notably when he was the Program Directors for the imagery sensor on the GOES weather satellite with NASA. After retirement, he dabbled in some consulting work prior to permanently retiring. Paul married his best friend, Muriel (Bode) on August 4, 1962; the happy couple settled into West Orange before raising a family of their own in Montvale.
Paul was a hard worker and he loved his family deeply. We will never forget his amazing sense of humor and his ability to make any situation genuinely fun. He was larger than life; something we always admired was his ability to talk to anyone and even any amount of people. He was truly one of a kind and will be sorely missed. Although we are saddened by his passing, we take comfort in knowing he is at peace and reunited with his son, Raymond, his parents and siblings, Lorraine and Nicholas, in Heaven.
He leaves a lifetime of joyful memories to his beloved wife of 61 years, Muriel; his loving sons, James Lisi, Kenneth Lisi, and Stephen Lisi and his wife Cynthia; his cherished grandchildren, Alexandra, Nicholas, Abigail, and Benjamin Lisi; and many more dear extended family and friends.
