Obituary of Joseph Francesco Stango
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Francesco Stango. He passed away on September 24, 2023, at the age of 26.
Born in Denville on August 25, 1997, Joe lived most of his life in Rockaway Township, NJ and was a resident of Ventnor City since 2019 where he was a well-loved member of the community.
Joe was known for his enormous heart and was always concerned for the well-being of others and left a huge mark on this world. He had such an impact on all the people surrounding him and was a beautiful person inside and out. Joe was a humble, kind, compassionate man, and his heart was full for the love of God.
Joe enjoyed playing sports, watching his beloved NY Giants, UFC, and playing pick-up basketball. He also had a love for movies, comedy, and dogs. He always had a smile on his face and a great sense of humor. Joe worked many jobs including positions in the food industry, to construction, and was an aspiring electrician. He had an impressive work ethic and always went above and beyond no matter the job or task in front of him.
Joe is survived by his loving parents Joseph G. and Donna M. Stango of Rockaway Township as well as his adoring siblings Michael Stango, and Alyssa Stango and her fiancé Jeremie DeDea. He is also survived by his loving aunts and uncles, Vinny and Diane DiMattia, Diana and the late Bob Lane, Doug and Sandy DiMattia, Rob and Tara DiMattia, Albert and Donna Stango, James and Donis Stango, and Josanna Stango, and numerous compassionate cousins and loyal, supportive friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday October 2, 2023, from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ 07834 www.normandean.com.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday October 3, at St. Mary’s Church 15 Myers Avenue in Denville, NJ. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in East Hanover.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made in honor of Joe to help other people who struggle with addiction. There are 2 organizations that had a strong and positive impact on Joe's life.
They are: Surfside Recovery Services or Achieve Wellness and Recovery funded by Tigger Stavola Foundation
