Marilyn’s siblings and father, William J. Beihl and mother, Edna Stephens Beihl lived primarily in Bernardsville, NJ with time in Kansas, Oklahoma and South Carolina due to her father’s work. After graduation from Bernards High School in 1950, Marilyn went to Paine Hall School in Manhattan qualifying as a medical assistant.  From there, she worked for pediatrician Dr. Bayard Coggeshall in Morristown then subsequently began to raise a family with Anthony in Bernards Township then Denville in 1955.  While the children were in school, Marilyn volunteered in many ways at St. Mary’s School. Marilyn also did volunteer work delivering the mail at St Clare’s Hospital for many years as well as working at Denville Seniors serving lunches. After the kids left home, Marilyn worked again as a medical assistant for a pediatrician in Randolph.

Marilyn was a wonderful wife (65 years), mother, sister, grandmother and mother in law. She enjoyed traveling with Anthony the most. They managed to go on many cruises and tours all over the world. On most occasions they would enjoy the company of their friends and neighbors, Jack and Priscilla Marra, Jerry and Carol Sullivan, Jack and Margaret Corcoran.

Her children are planning a mass at St. Mary’s Parish in Denville with a “celebration of life” before the ashes of both Anthony and Marilyn are interred at Gates of Heaven in East Hanover, NJ. The date is to be confirmed.
