Obituary of Donna Lee Wojcik

Please share a memory of Donna to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Donna Lee Wojcik (Bell) passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown. She had shared 69 years of unconditional love, selflessness, and laughter with family and friends.

Born in Morristown to the late Howard and Mildred “Mim” Bell, Donna was raised in Parsippany alongside her brother and sister. She graduated from Parsippany Hills High School in 1972.  Donna was a hard and dedicated worker her entire life. During high school and while attending County College of Morris, she worked as a Vet Tech at Community Animal Hospital in Morris Plains. She married the love of her life and best friend, Stanley William Wojcik, on April 6, 1975. They settled into their forever home in Mount Tabor where they raised their family. While raising her children, Donna was an engaged member of the community, where neighborhood children were always welcome in her home for caretaking. She was the greatest Mom anyone could ask for and she extended that love to all the children in the community. Once her children were a little older, she returned to work as a school bus driver. Donna worked for Kevah Konner in Pine Brook before retiring from Randolph School District.

Donna was a very artistic and creative individual. She excelled at making beautiful cakes for friends and family as well as elaborate Children’s Day decorations.  She thoroughly enjoyed annual trips with the family to Chadwick Beach in NJ and most recently, camping at Castaways in Ocean City, MD. Donna loved shopping, particularly for her children and grandchildren. Her family will forever be grateful for the unique gifts acquired from Deals and Steals and the fact that she showered everyone with her generosity. Above anything else, her family was her pride and joy. Despite her illness, nothing could hold Donna back when it came to attending all of her grandchildren’s activities and playing endless games of BINGO with them. She truly was a remarkable woman. All who knew her will be forever touched by her kindness and spirit.

While her family is deeply saddened by her passing, they take comfort in knowing she is now reunited with those who passed before, her parents and brother, Cary Bell.

Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her beloved husband, Stanley W. Wojcik; her loving children, Kelly (Sean) Lomax, Daniel (Leigh) Wojcik; her cherished grandchildren, Connor and Brenna Lomax and Carley and Brielle Wojcik; her sister, Bonnie (Larry) Zeh; and sisters-in-law, Bernice (the late Donald) Schiavo and Michele (John) Lobman; her faithful pup, Millie; and many dear nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Public Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 6th from 2 - 6 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville. Funeral Service will take place on Monday, August 7th at 10 am at Mount Tabor Methodist Church, 5 Simpson Ave, Tabor, NJ 07878. Burial will follow at Restland Memorial Park, 77 Deforest Avenue, East Hanover, NJ 07936.
