Obituary of Gerald Green

Gerald "Jerry" Green was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He left this world on Monday, May 8, 2023, at age 88.

 

He was born on May 12, 1934 in Scranton, PA and moved to Newark.  After graduating from high school, Jerry enlisted in the Navy from 1954 – 1958 as a Communication Technician.  He had the opportunity to travel to Africa, Morocco, London, Italy, Germany and France.  Jerry met the love of his life, Louise while working at Federal Electric.  His passions were spending time with family, going to the beach and horse racing.

 

Jerry is survived by his beautiful wife of 59 years, Louise; his son, David and his wife Anita; his daughter, Paula; and his shining star, his granddaughter Elizabeth; and other dear extended family and friends.

 

Public Visitation will be held on Monday, May 15th from 3 – 7 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, May 16th at 10 am the Funeral Home, followed by an interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester. Memorial Donations are being accepted in Gerald’s memory to either St. Jude Children's Research or The Parkinson's Foundation by way of www.inmemof.org to ensure receipt of your donation. Please leave a condolence, light a candle, and share your favorite memory of Gerald here to continue to celebrate his incredible life, and let his light shine on.
