Obituary of Laura Florence Kruszewski

Laura (Racis) Kruszewski passed away at her home in Rockaway Twp., NJ on April 6, 2023, at the age of 82.

Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ she spent most of her life in West Paterson, NJ before moving to Fox Hills in Rockaway Township, NJ 11 years ago.

Laura worked for many years as a secretary at AT&T in New York City and retired from First American Realty Associates in Fairfield, NJ in 2011.  While living at Fox Hills for the last 11 years she was very involved in various clubs and activities within the complex and was Co-President of her Building.  Laura was a devout Catholic.  She loved to crochet, enjoyed word puzzles and being creative while coloring intricate pictures.  She enjoyed family vacations on Long Beach Island and spending her summer days at the pool with her friends.  Above all else Laura loved to spend time with her adoring family and grandchildren.

Laura was predeceased by her beloved husband of 46 years, Carl Kruszewski in 2010.  She was predeceased by her parents Dominic Racis and Florence (Sasiadek).

Laura is survived by her loving daughters Carolyn and her husband George Mayerhauser of Ringwood, Barbara and her husband Robert Vitolo of Basking Ridge, and Christine and her husband Stephen Thomas of Rockaway Twp., NJ.  She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Evan and Sean Mayerhauser, Thomas, Madison and Kate Vitolo, and Kayla and Stephanie Thomas, as well as sister Irene Mann and her husband Edward of Corinth, VT, her nieces Jacqueline Mann-Clark and husband Aleks of Adamstown, MD, Wanda Jaslar and husband Edward of Freehold, NJ and grand-nephew Kieran Clark.

Visitation will be held Sunday April 16, 2023, from 3:00PM to 7:00PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ 07834 www.normandean.com.  

A funeral Mass will be offered Monday April 17, at 10:00AM at St. Clement Pope and Martyr Church 154 Mt. Pleasant Avenue Rockaway Twp. / Dover, NJ 07801.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery 340 Ridge Road North Arlington, NJ 07031.
