Jim and Family,
I remember his 'Bachelor Days', his frequent visits to Cedar Lake and his courting of Barbara, their wonderful marriage and many great dinners we shared with the two of them. His Spirit will always live on within each of us as well as the many 'Magical Moments' shared with him that will always continue.
Sincerely,
John Hurley, JR.

Alright, sir. I’m not ready for this. None of us are.
You’ve been a constant in my world since I came into it and I wasn’t ready for this era to end.
I will always remember you and Aunt Barb coming to Christmas with garbage bags of presents, going to your apartment to roll down the hill in the summer and sled down it cardboard boxes in the winter. I’ll remember every single holiday, BBQ’s, celebrations and putting the FUN in funerals with you.
I’ll remember you serenading us every chance you got. The way you bust chops and stir the pot every single time. You never left a chance for a joke on the table. Your quick wit was mostly appreciated and even if we didn’t find you funny, you ALWAYS laughed at yourself.
I’ll remember the way your cologne over took the house (Mommy always yelled at you) and I’d know you were here before I saw you.
I’ll remember every birthday and Christmas card. Oh, and thanks for letting me cash that Christmas check when I found it in the card the following year.
Most of all, I’ll remember how much you loved. You loved everyone. Befriended everyone. Talked to everyone. You’re bigger than life personality was impossible to miss. And those of us who got to call you brother, uncle, cousin, friend have a huge hole in our hearts right now.
You taught me that family is what you make it. You’ve been Daddy’s brother - he has the best relationship with you. And that didn’t change when Aunt Barb died. If anything, it solidified our place in each others lives even more.
As much as we’re hurting, we are trying our best to latch onto the peace you are in right now.
I’ve said a million times that if I could hear one sound one more time, it would be the sound of Aunt Barb laughing.
You’re hearing it. You’re back with your love and in time to celebrate Valentine’s together.
That gives us the strength to say goodbye. Knowing you’re happy. She’s happy. You’re together.
We will miss you more than you’ll know. But when we see you again, you and Aunt Barb will hug us so hard and we’ll hear BOTH of you laughing together.
Give her a kiss for me. I love you both.

Uncle Kenny, we have so many great memories spending time with you growing up: going to the Macy’s parade, tail gating at the Army/Navy games, and picnics at Bear Mountain just to name a few. We’ll miss your wit, and kindness.

Uncle Kenny.....THANK YOU for touching our lives and being here. Words can't express the heart break I have right now. You are an amazing guy, a big one at that, but that's because you had so much to give, your love and wisdom will live on with us. WE ALL LOVE YOU! You asked for a birthday party and I think this is IT (I might even have to have a cigar and you know I hate them). Knowing that you lived your days to the fullest makes me happy. It was a rough month but you still smiled and didn't complain. We have so many great memories. You were and will always be a huge part of our lives. I LOVE YOU, we all love you, your were our "U K" the one and only UNCLE KENNY!!!
