Obituary of Marie Trillich Hurtado

Please share a memory of Marie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Marie Anne Trillich Hurtado passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Morristown Medical Center. She blessed us with 63 years of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.

Marie was born on a sunny brisk day in Morristown to the late Herbert and Barbara Trillich. She was the eldest of three children raised in Denville. She graduated from Morris Knolls High School in 1977. Always on the go, Marie has not stopped moving since she was born. She was one of the hardest working people on this planet. Consistently holding down two or even three jobs at time, her most notable careers included the Head of Housekeeping for Hilton Hotels, Claims Adjuster for Chubb, Front Desk at the Denville Orthopedic Surgery Center, and at ShopRite of Wharton.

She worked hard and played even harder. Marie’s favorite pastime was playing video games! Marie loved playing with her grandchildren the most. She loved building Legos and was the ultimate Harry Potter fan. She frequented Disney World in Florida and Harry Potter World at universal studios. Her happy place was the beach, especially Wildwood and Cape May. Marie was a dedicated member of the Ladies Auxiliary Denville Fire Department. She really loved everything Denville Fire Department and serving her community. She was also the type of woman who kept an immaculate household at all times, because she thoroughly enjoyed it! She relished spending time outdoors maintaining her home, gardening, or swimming in the pool. Every single holiday big or small she brought about the best decorations. When she came over for a gathering she never showed up empty handed and always lended a hand. Marie would help anyone with anything, without you even needing to ask. If it needed to get done, she would magically just take care of it. She truly was an extraordinary woman, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. We take solace in the fact that we have a Guardian Angel watching out from above and that she is now reunited with other loved ones in Heaven.

She leaves only joyful memories to her loving children, William Trillich and Jessica Gray; her cherished grandchildren, Kaylee Benner, Peyton Trillich, and Abigail Trillich; her treasured great-grandson, Isaiah; her caring brothers, Kenneth Trillich and Herb Trillich and his wife Elaine; and her doting nephew, Wyatt Trillich.

Public Visitation will be held on Monday, November 14th from 3 - 7 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 15th at 10 am at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 15 Myers Avenue, Denville. Memorial Donations are being accepted in her memory to the American Cancer Society by way of www.inmemof.org. Please leave a condolence, light a candle, and share your favorite memory of Marie here to continue to celebrate the incredible life she bestowed upon us.
