Visitation
Obituary of David Alan Mohr
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David A. Mohr. David Mohr passed away on October 6th, 2022 in his home in Rockaway, New Jersey. He was taken from this life too swiftly and although we are deeply saddened by his passing, we take comfort in knowing that he is at peace.
David was born on June 27th, 1961, to Judith and Richard Mohr. He was raised in Denville and didn’t stray too far when leaving the nest. He grew up alongside his brother, Scott, and his sister, Melissa. He enjoyed taking family trips to Florida where his parents vacationed often. In his adult life, David developed a passion for all things motorcycles. His love for these machines became his career as he took on jobs fixing people’s bike and modifying them. He owned a few himself over the years, including dirt bikes and Harley Davidson motorcycles. In his free time, David took to the lakes of New Jersey on his boat, sometimes fishing or just enjoying nature. He also enjoyed a good game of trivia, often watching the latest episode of Jeopardy, and had a certain reputation for being a vocabulary buff and always having a word of the day for the people around him to learn. David was a kind, genuine, and strong individual who has been called home too quick, but we will continue to carry on his memory and celebrate the life he lived.
Those who are tasked with carrying on his legacy are the people he loved most; his family. He leaves behind his parents, Judith and Frank Tibenszky, his brother, Scott Mohr (Dale), his sister, Melissa Prunty, his nieces and nephews, Jillian, Thomas, Maggie, and James, his great nephew, Mason, and a wealth of friends and neighbors who are lucky to have known him. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayer for the weeks to come.
Hours of visitation for David are scheduled for 4 to 7 PM on Tuesday, October 11th, 2022, with a prayer service to start promptly at 4 PM. Services will be held at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, New Jersey 07834, (973) 627-1880. The family has asked that any memorial donations should be made to The Salvation Army by way of https://inmemof.org/david-mohr so that the family may receive a record of who participated.
