Public Visitation
Obituary of Marc G Holden
Marc G. Holden passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown. He had shared 67 years of unconditional love, infectious laughter, and unforgettable memories with family and friends.
Marc was a lifelong Denville resident, raised by the late John “Jack” and Margaret “Peg” Holden. He graduated from Morris Knolls High School, Class of 1973 and Rowan University, formerly Glassboro University. He made a successful career for himself as the Traffic Manager with Roysons Corporation in Rockaway. Marc retired in 2021 after 35 years of dedicated service. He married his best friend, Sandy L. Votapek in 2008. Hand in hand, they enjoyed all the adventures this life had to offer.
Marc was a one-of-a-kind man with an unrivaled sense of humor. He was always the life of the party and just a joy to be around. His kind soul shined through every time you saw him. He adored spending time with family and friends and watching his Las Vegas Raiders and New York Yankees. Although we are deeply saddened by his passing, we take comfort in knowing we have the greatest Guardian Angel watching out for us from above.
His legacy will live on in the hearts of his beloved wife, Sandy; his loving children, Stephanie Collver and her husband Mike, Doug Holden and his wife Sofia, and Samantha and Taylor Carhart; his adored grandchildren, Sara, Caroline, Ella, Jasey, Evan, Cylus, Jaxon, and a Babyboy to arrive soon; and many dear extended family and friends.
Public Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 4th from 3 – 7 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are being accepted in Marc’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by way of www.inmemof.org to ensure receipt of your donation. Please leave a condolence, light a candle, and share your favorite memory of Marc here to continue to celebrate the incredible life he bestowed upon us.
