Gloria Figurelli

Obituary of Gloria J. Figurelli

Please share a memory of Gloria to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Gloria J. Figurelli passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Thursday,
September 8, 2022 at Morristown Medical Center. She was 84.

Born and raised in Paterson to the late Joseph and Edith Maida, she was one of two children to
bless their household. She graduated from Central High School in Paterson and was blessed with
many lasting friendships. After High School, Gloria became a Beautician. She was very
successful in her career having worked many years for Connie's Coiffures in Little Falls and then
as a Receptionist for Ambiance Salon in Totowa before officially retiring in 2001.

She was a hard and dedicated worker, always making sure her family wanted for nothing.

She gave all of herself 100% of the time to her kids, grandkids, clients, and friends.

Gloria was born to be a Mother, and that was proven true every week when her family would
come over for an “Old School Dinner”. That meant no TV, no cellphones, just an opportunity to
break bread and spend time catching up with those that matter most. Gloria never met a stranger;
anyone who had the privilege of meeting her knows, she had the gift of gab and held nothing
back. When she wasn’t spending time with family, you could find her in the Pocono’s or Atlantic
City at a slot machine, reading a book, or binge watching any reality show.

Our selfless Matriarch will be sorely missed and forever treasured in our hearts and memories.
Although we are deeply saddened by her passing, we take comfort in knowing that she is now
reunited with her parents and son, Stephen.

She leaves only joyful memories to her loving children, Dave and his wife Susan and Chris and
his wife Dawn; her caring daughter-in-law, Frances; her cherished grandchildren, Jeff and his
wife Nichole, Amanda, Erica, AJ, Olivia, and Nicole; her adored great-grandchildren, Dominic,
Hayden, Ian, and Evie; her brother, Gregory Maida and his wife Ann; and many more dear
extended family and friends.

Memorial Mass will take place on Saturday, November 19th at 9:30 am at St. Clement Pope &

Martyr Roman Catholic Church, 154 Mt Pleasant Ave, Dover, NJ 07801. Memorial Donations
