One of Earth’s brightest lights is now a shining star in Heaven. I was the school nurse in Boonton that serviced MJ’s special kids. She was an amazing teacher - clearly, she was like the sun to all those children. Her little ones had fun as she nurtured and guided them to reach their full potential in her firm but loving, gentle way. I will always remember her smiling face, twinkling eyes & quick wit. She was a beautiful soul and a blessing to everyone who knew her. My sincere condolences to her family who, after God, came first.
Best regards,
Frankie

Mary Jane was a very special person, colleague, and friend. I was the social worker on the team that served her preschool handicapped class for many years. We all loved working together to give the children a meaningful, creative, and fun educational experience from which they could grow. Mary Jane cared deeply about the children and inspired us all to do our very best for them.
I learned early on that Mary Jane had a passionate love for her faith and her family. She was the go to person for advice, particularly about most anything financial when it came to saving money. She had a way of taking the good times and the rough in stride. I think because her faith was so strong.
As a friend, she supported me through many difficult times, and I know she cared deeply for people. Living in Atlanta has not given us the opportunity to get together much these last few years, though we spoke on the phone from time to time. I will miss her being there and that special bond through our work, faith and friends. I will keep her lessons and her love in my heart.

Don and I were deeply saddened to hear of MaryJane’ s passing. What we will remember most is her bright outlook, great sense of humor and almost constant smile. You always felt happier when you were with Mary Jane. She told great stories and was devoted to her family and when we think of her without question we also think of her sister, Claire. They were at their best when together. Two siblings we greatly admire. Andrea and Don Wasowski

Mary Jane walked the walk.
She cared for others and was loving as well as beloved.
Her life was spent thinking of others ;well- represented by the life she lived.
Her comment to me," We're cut from the same piece of cloth." Means so much to me.
Miss You Sweet Girl,
Angie

We are deeply saddened to hear this news. Mary Jane was a very good neighbor to us on Beacon Hill. We will never forget how she baked cookies for us when we first moved in, and how she sewed beautiful baby bibs for our daughter.

Beacon Hill has lost one of the best. We feel truly blessed to have been “some of the kids” that grew up at Camp Sedwick. We loved talking with MJ and telling the remember when stories. After Marty Kid passed, we were chatting, and I was crying about Marty. MJ said she knew the world was better because of him, and to remember never to let my grief get out ahead of my faith. That advice has been with me through many losses. Thank you MJ for letting us be your “kids”, for opening your home to us, and for making us better Beacon Hillers. Give our love to F, Marty Kid, and Bear. Until we meet again.....Steve and Michele Shaffer
