Obituary of Virginia Margaret Tulimiero
Virginia "Ginny" Tulimiero passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on July 31st, 2022 at The Oaks in Denville. Ginny spent 93 wonderful years spreading love and joy to those she met.
Ginny was born and raised in Irvington, New Jersey to Frank and Mary Messina, before meeting her husband, the late Joseph Ralph Tulimiero and starting their life together. Ginny had a passion for travel and had an appetite for adventure unlike any other. She wanted to leave no stone unturned in her journey through life, which led her and Joe to many beautiful and interesting places. One of her favorite places, though, was her parent’s summer home in Ortley Beach, New Jersey. Her children still reminisce on the happy memories of summers spent walking just one short block to the beach and spending their days soaking up the sun with their mother.
Ginny was a devoted and loving mother to her children, and was truly dedicated to her family. She enjoyed being surrounded by her loved ones no matter the occasion; whether that be sparring in tennis, or just a simple game of bingo. She was a homemaker through and through, and her commitment to those lucky enough to call her family will never be forgotten. She also spent many years volunteering as a Eucharistic Minister for St. Barnabas Hospital in Livingston, NJ.
Though we are deeply saddened by Ginny’s passing, we would like to include a phrase that became very significant in her last days. When you think of Ginny in the days, weeks, and months to come, just keep in mind her words of hope… “I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever,” Psalm 23:6. We take comfort in knowing she is now reunited in Heaven with her parents, her husband, Joe, her son, Joseph and brother, Charlie.
Ginny leaves behind a trove of memories and wisdom to her children, Vito Tulimiero and Audrey Welch; her sisters, Frances Skiba, Patricia Galdieri, and Rosemary Gervasio; and her grandchildren, Christopher Joseph, Michael Thomas, Theresa Clare and Raymond Joseph. We ask that you please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
A public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday, August 18th, at Norman Dean Home for Services. On the following day, there will be a Funeral service at 11 AM Friday, August 19th, at St. Mary’s Church in Denville, New Jersey, with a burial to follow at Gate of Heaven cemetery. We welcome all who had the pleasure of knowing Virginia to come and celebrate her life and continue to carry on her memory.
In memory of Ginny, flowers are welcome (Broadway Florist), or a donation to The Mother Theresa Foundation, specifically to the Anbu Illam (Orphanage).
