Dear Pat, Kenny and Kim,
Our sincerest condolences on the passing of your sweet husband and dad. Mr. Kovacs had a keen sense of humor and a friendly greeting for everyone. My cherished memory of Mr. Kovacs was when he wrapped me in a big hug in the middle of Birchwood Rd. when I told him my dad had passed that morning at home. I'll never forget that moment.
Much love to all of you and may your happy memories bring comfort and joy for many years to come.
Rose Ann (Dankos) Hastings and Melissa & Becky Cotreau

I enjoyed walking around John's neighborhood with him on visits over the past few years. He was a very smart man and a fellow Engineer from Stevens Tech. I was pleased to be in his wedding party at his marriage with Cousin Pat.

I will miss seeing John in the kitchen at Pat's Saturday Bible Study. When I was in Girl Scouts, John's Mom lived one street over from me in Wharton . My Dad would take me over to the house , and he would speak Hungarian to John's Mom and I would get a cookie sale.
Years later, in Pat's kitchen I would be the one speaking a little bit of Hungarian , and John and I would talk back and forth. I was not selling cookies this time , but eating the great cookies and goodies Pat would prepare for us for the study. I will truly miss this. . John always listened to you, then he would speak , he would love to hear about my fishing trips. Then he would talk about his trips that he went on with his dear grandchildren.. He spoke of his grandchildren with a great big smile and twinkle in his eye.
John always made all of us welcome in his home. This was a 9:30 am Saturday Bible study, and John could not have been more welcoming, and honoring to our Bible study to learn and study the word of God. He made sure in those cold and snowy winters the walk and parking were cleared and safe so we could have the study. He would be in the kitchen with a great big smile, to welcome us after he cleared the snow and ice . I will always carry this memory , because this study has truly changed my life and the lives of others. Pat and John welcomed the word of God into their household , and shared in the resources that the Lord provided to them with love and kindness so we could all gather around the dining room table and study the word and Pray for each other and many others.
Prayers to Pat and Family and especially the grand children- Mary Lynn Orchard

To Pat,Ken,Kim and the whole family. I have memories of John always coming out during Pat’s Saturday Bible study. He was always welcoming and remarked about my laugh. He was brilliant when he was younger and I think fondly on my memories of him. I’m glad I got to see him when I visited in April. He is at rest now. God Bless John!
