Memorial Visitation
Obituary of Joseph Stefanelli
Joseph “Ronnie” Stefanelli passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville. He had shared 85 years of unconditional love, hard work, and unforgettable memories with family and friends.
Born in Newark to the late Frank A. and Mary (Fullman) Stefanelli, Ronnie was one of five children, raised in Nutley, to bless their household. He proudly served our country in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Germany from 1955 to 1957. After his honorable discharge in 1957, he joined the family business; F. Stefanelli Trucking Company in Passaic, before relocating to Wallington. Trucking was a heartfelt passion for Ronnie. He loved his career choice and through persistence and perseverance, was very successful at it for over 50 years. He retired in 2014. He adored his family, and every summer they took frequent trips to Point Pleasant Beach and made everlasting experiences. He loved his animals, taking weekend road trips, sightseeing the wonders this earth has to offer, and always made sure to find time for trips to the flea market, especially those in PA.
Ronnie was an amazing man who made this world a brighter, better place. We will forever be grateful to have had him in our lives. Although we are deeply saddened by his passing, we take comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with his parents, and siblings, Audrey, Frank, and Marilyn.
He leaves only joyful memories to his beloved wife of 28 years, Martha; his 3 children, Patrick and his wife Jill, Chris, and Mary Ann; his caring stepdaughter, Marlene and husband Dave; his doting sister, Mary Ann Morrell; his cherished 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; his devoted nephew, whom he worked with every day, Michael, and many more dear nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Memorial Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 31st from 4 – 7 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville.
