John was a beloved member of the Golden Knights drum and bugle corps as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus. He will be missed by the members of both organizations. Mike Dougherty

I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Golden's passing. He and my Dad (Charlie Conklin), brother Knights of Columbus 3359, were friends for more than 40 years. Before he died, Bob Scully was the third amigo! I know how much my Dad's friendship with Mr. Golden meant to him and how much he will be missed. I am sending warmest condolences to Vicki Golden and the rest of the family. To the Family of John. I am saddened to hear of his passing. It was always great to see him as he came to our Golden Knights shows, parades, and rehearsals.
