Obituary of Laurie Ann Uffer

Please share a memory of Laurie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

"A heart is not judged by how much you love; but by how much you are loved by others.”

-The Wizard

Laurie Ann Uffer passed away at home on February 8, 2022.  She was 40 years young and has left us broken hearted, but grateful for having had her bless our lives. She was our daughter, our sister, our mother, our aunt, our friend. Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 15thfrom 3-6 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville.  In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the good work of Integrity House, Secaucus. Please share your memories here.  Her family will cherish them.

Laurie was born on January 20, 1982 to John and Patricia Uffer.  She was the second child to bless their family.  As a young girl she loved horseback riding, spending several summers at Snowbird Farms in Long Valley. She attended Mt. Olive schools, graduating Mt. Olive High School in 2000.

After HS she attended County College of Morris.  She loved being with her friends and traveling. She enjoyed visiting her Aunt Millie in Phoenix and going deep sea fishing in Cabo Mexico.

She settled in Hackettstown and later Washington Twp.  Most recently she was helping others as a home health provider where she assisted the elderly and disabled and earlier at Freedom House where she aided those with addictions. She enjoyed meeting new people and has always had a caring heart.

She was an amazing friend and all-around good soul. She was kind, beautiful on the inside and out, and possessed an amazing spirit which will never leave us. With a smile that would light up the room, you could always count on her to brighten your day.

She will be missed immeasurably, but never forgotten. She leaves her children Kayla and Liam; her mother Patricia Uffer, father John Uffer, stepmom Tina; her brother Michael, sister-in-law Monique and her nephew and niece Hudson and Simone; her Aunt Mildred Slattery; and many more friends.
