Obituary of Alvina T. Baggot
Alvina T. (Meehan) Baggot, affectionately known as “Grandee” passed away at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville, NJ on January 17, 2022, at the age of 95.
Born in Manhattan, New York, Alvina spent her summers as a child in Indian Lake, NJ. She eventually moved to the Indian Lake section of Denville, NJ in 1954, where she would raise her family and live the rest of her life.
Alvina attended Marymount College in New York and then worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Denville Police Chief, and then for the Department of Public Works in Denville. She also worked part time driving a school bus and worked on the assembly line at Mennen. She had a passion for horseback riding in her younger years and went one last time to fulfill her bucket list at the age of 90. Alvina was also active with the Denville Senior Citizens and loved to visit the casinos in Atlantic City. She also loved to spend time in Beach Haven on Long Beach Island with her family every summer.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Arthur A. Baggot Jr. in 1992, as well as her daughter Andrea Case in 2017.
Alvina is survived by her loving children Arthur and Janis Baggot of Denville, Dee and Jim Pedicini of Madison, Andrew and Marianne Baggot of Denville, her son-in-law Michael Case of Jarrettsville, MD and Alyssa Bolivar of Denville. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Lee and Tracie Buffaloe of Wilmington, NC, Amanda and Ben Wrigley and their children Benham and Madeline of Frisco, TX, Allie and Nick Beccarino and their children Graham and Libby of Wilmington, NC, Alex and Jen Baggot and their children Jaxson and Jordan of Rockaway, NJ, Elizabeth and Chris Michaels and their children Callen and Remi of Denville, NJ, Matthew Pedicini of Madison, NJ, Michael Case and his fiancé Caitlyn Smith of MD, Alexis and Johnny Law of Bellaire, MD, and Adam Bolivar of Smithville, NC, and also by her sister Mickey Luzzi of Denville, NJ.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday January 22, 2022, at 10:00AM at St. Mary’s Church 15 Myers Avenue Denville, NJ 07834 under the direction of Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ 07834 www.normandean.com.
