Mattie Palamara was an extraordinary mother and neighborhood mom as well . She helped me with some of my art projects as I grew up two houses away. She was beautiful, very caring, and completely unforgettable. Her chocolate chip cookie jar was always available to us - and her cooking was incomparable, I was young when I lost my mother- and Mattie had our family over for dinner. I will remember her kindness and beauty forever. To Frannie, Kathy, Dean, Paul and Georgie- I express my condolences. Claudia Loewenstein

Simply.... Mrs P was a mother to all, but she was so much more to me. A mentor along with Mr.P. They encouraged my creative energy. Growing up across the street, there were so many projects being created... Whether elaborate costumes for Halloween, beautiful holiday displays for Mount Carmel Church, Art to grace their home, Once they helped me build an anniversary gift for my parents... They always had time. When I was trying to find a job in New York.. Mrs.P typed my cover letters! Big Daddy (Mr. P) gave me free lance sketches to do for Coty. I could go on and on. The wonderful meals, the great baked cookies and cakes.... The love she gave to do many. Rest well with all the cast up there! Prayers, Peace, Love

From the softest of moments to the snowball or water fights, "the twins" were always surrogate siblings.
It made Mom proud to sit beside the two blond children, when we went out for a bite to eat after Midnight Mass. She's smilingly say: "Now it looks as if some of the children here are mine," as all her offspring seemed to favor Dad's complexion.
You were, and will always be most welcome members of the Palamara clan.

Our deepest sympathy on Mattie's passing. It was a true pleasure getting to know both she and Joe over the years. As individuals, and as a couple, they were truly one of a kind. They were full of class, dignity, faith, friendship, family and love.
We know that they have happily reunited with each other and loved ones in a special piece of heaven.
Like us, we hope all of the fond memories will help Mattie and Joe's terrific family during this difficult time. With Love and Condolences, Bob and Marie Keehn
