Obituary of Elizabeth Abe
"You can always tell where a beautiful soul has been by the tears and the smiles left behind."
Elizabeth “Beth” (nee Anderson) Abe passed peacefully in the comfort of her home on Saturday, November 13, 2021 after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. She shared 67 years of love and creativity with her family. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, November 18th from 3pm to 7pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville. Donations in her memory may be made to the good work of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, PanCAN) https://www.pancan.org/.
Please share your memories here. Her family will cherish them.
Born in Pittsburgh to the late Lee and Mary Anderson, Beth was one of four children to bless the family. After her schooling she met Douglas Abe and the rest was history. They married and settled in New Jersey with their young family. Beth was the proud Mother to four daughters. She was always busy with the girls and their activities. She worked hard, along with Doug to give their family a beautiful life. She was loving and kind. She was an amazing cook and always enjoyed having a house full to feed, especially at the holidays. She was creative and loved decorating. Beth had the ability to make just about anything look beautiful. She had an eye for design way before HGTV was born!
Her greatest joy was her family. She was a supportive wife, loving Mother, and of course- her greatest title…. “Gramma”. She was the world’s best Gramma to five lucky ones. The sun rose and set on the kids and she loved being with them. Beth truly was the heart and soul of the family. Even though we are broken hearted, we know her beautiful spirit will never leave us.
She leaves only joyful memories to her beloved husband, Doug; cherished daughters Lauren Swalef (Brandon), Leigh Abe, Shawn Caravaglia (Joseph) and Lyndsey Abe; her adored grandchildren Emily, Jacob and Nathan Swalef and Hannah and JJ Caravaglia; her brother Jack Anderson and many more dear relatives and friends. Her parents and her siblings Robert Anderson and Mary Lee Forrester passed previously.
