Please share your memories here. Carolyn’s family will treasure them.

Carolyn was born on a beautiful July day in 1968. She was raised in Denville, graduating Morris Knolls High School. She went on to earn her BA from Susquehanna University and her Masters from FDU. She worked for Lucent Technologies and M&M Mars, before babysitting in her home to stay with her boys. Most recently, Carolyn was working at Olympus Power in Morristown as the Senior Human Resources Generalist.  She worked hard, always.

She was very active - more than most! She loved being outdoors in the fresh air and taking long walks with her dog, Barley. She loved the sunshine and the beach and was fortunate to spend many summers in Normandy Beach at her family house. She was stylish and always up on the latest fashion trends. Carolyn loved to travel, especially to Disney World with her family. She has fond memories of Europe with her sister and friends. She has so many old and new friendships that she truly nurtured through the years.

She had a knack for winning radio contests. She frequented concerts and enjoyed many visits to Woodloch Pines with her family. She was always the life of the party and lived life to the fullest! She would go out of her way to make holidays special. She was an awesome host for her family and friends.

She was the mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend that everyone would be lucky to have. She truly possessed an amazing spirit which will never leave us. She was encouraging and caring…always with an ear to listen, positive, fun, energetic, talkative, a pal to sip wine with, to cook with…everything family and friendship is.

Above all, Carolyn was a Mother.  She was the proudest “Boy Mom” to her sons Gordon and Scotty. The sun rose and set on them and she never missed a basketball game, a soccer game, a football game, a track meet or a reason to root for her boys! They have always been her greatest joys in this world. In a time where none of this makes sense, it remains constant that she will always be looking out for her sons and guiding them from above.

She leaves beautiful memories to her children Gordon Huntley and Scott Huntley; her Mother Mary Ann Harrison, sister Barbra Derrick (Mark); brother Thomas Harrison (AnnMarie); nieces Sarah, Emily and Julia Derrick and Jessica Howie; nephews Andrew and Justin Harrison, Keith and Kevin Howie; former spouse Glen Huntley; Mother-in-law Barbara Huntley and many more dear relatives and friends.
