Obituary of Scott Raymond Dennig
Scott Raymond Dennig passed away at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville, NJ on September 23, 2021, at the age of 52.
Born in Morristown, he grew up and attended schools in Denville where he lived for most of his life until moving to Rockaway, NJ 3 years ago.
Scott worked as a mechanic, a mover and a carpet cleaner throughout the years, but his passion was fishing. He was an avid fisherman, fishing in lakes, streams, rivers and the ocean and in the winter enjoyed ice fishing. He also loved his vegetable garden and would often give away what he nurtured and grew. Scott also enjoyed playing baseball, and was both a downhill and telemark skier. He played soccer while attending Morris Knolls High School where he graduated in 1987.
He was predeceased by his father Raymond Richard Dennig in 2016.
Scott is survived by his loving daughter Samantha Lynn Dennig, and his lifelong partner Cindy Voskian, both of Rockaway. He is also survived by his loving mother Marianne Dennig of Denville, and his siblings Laura and her husband Joseph Raccioppi of Wharton, Keith and his wife Deborah Dennig of Rockaway and his Godmother Carol Giuffrida Swinburne as well as his adorable cat Critter.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 29, 2021, from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 7:00PM to 8:30PM with a funeral service to commence at 8:30PM at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville, NJ 07834 www.normandean.com.
Memorial donations can be made in his memory to the New Jersey Department of Fish and Wildlife. Checks should be made payable to “NJDFW” and in the check memo please include “In Memory of Scott Dennig”. Donations can be mailed to Mail Code 501-03, PO Box 420, Trenton, New Jersey 08625-0420.
