Obituary of Liese L. Schaefer
Liese Lotte Schaefer passed away at Care One Assisted Living in Parsippany, NJ on July 31, 2021, at the age of 95.
Born in Birnbaum, Poland, she emigrated to the United States in 1954 to join her husband the late Paul W. Schaefer. They lived in Caldwell, then Lake Hiawatha before moving to Denville, NJ in 1968.
Liese was an avid reader, she loved books and especially like to read medical books. She was also very interested in paying attention to news and always knew what was going on in the world. In her younger years she liked to sew and knit.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Paul W. Schaefer in 2014.
Liese is survived by her loving children Joan and her husband John Miseo of Kenvil, NJ and Paul and his wife Danielle Schaefer of Nutley, NJ and Matthias and his wife Gisela of Germany. She is also survived by her grandchildren John Michael and his wife Tina Miseo of Madison, Jennifer Marie, and her husband Luigi Iachetta of Kenvil, Paul William IV and Edward Ashby Schaefer of Nutley, NJ. Her Great Granddaughter Penelope Emilia Iachetta also survives her.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 3, 2021, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ 07834 www.normandean.com.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 4, 2021, at 10:30AM at the funeral home. Interment services will follow at Denville Cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by way of inmemof.org.
