Obituary of Dennis Robjohns

Please share a memory of Dennis to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Dennis Robjohns passed peacefully on June 10, 2021. He was 74.  Arrangements are as follows: Friends and relatives may visit on Friday, June 18th from 4-7pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services at 16 Righter Avenue, Denville NJ 07834. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday morning, June 19th starting 10 am at the funeral home. On the way to the interment there will be a destination stop in honor of something very close to Dennis' heart, after which an honorable tribute will follow at the Northern NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 75 N Church Rd, Sparta, NJ 07871.

Per request of Dens niece, Dawn, if you have a picture(s) of fur babies who were friends with Dennis, please bring a non-returnable photo, or simple photo copy of, each of the fur babies with you, we will be doing something very special in honor of Dennis' love for all his extended fur family at the destination stop.

Dennis was born in Orange to the late George and Laura Robjohns. After his schooling he was drafted into the service. He proudly served our country with the US Air Force during Vietnam. Upon his honorable discharge he returned home and began working with his step father, John Meravi, at the family business, Village Tile Company in South Orange. Eventually Dennis took over the business and ran it for many years until later in life he chose to enjoy a more relaxed position at the Home Depot. He loved sharing his knowledge with the customers as well as gaining new and lasting friendships with many of the employees.

Dennis also spent a couple of years donating his time to the East Orange Fire Department Auxiliary. Dennis enjoyed many travel adventures, rafting, riding his motorcycle, and hanging with his fur and human friends at Wantage Dog Park where he was a Board member.

Dennis is predeceased by his Father, George Robjohns, Mother Laura Robjohns Meravi, step father John Meravi, sister Judy Mills, brother Robert Robjohns, sister Shirley Bellino and her husband John, nephew Robert S. Robjohns, and great nephew Tommy Fisher.

Surviving are his daughter Tammy Persson and her husband Eric; his nieces and nephews Billy Mills, Cindy Lobb, Duane Mills, Dawn DeFrance, Douglas Robjohns and their significant others, as well as great nieces and nephews; Jessica, Billy Jr, Mike, Jessy, Kenny, Tommy, Hayley, Ashley, Miranda and the extended family he gained from long standing friendships, of which there are hundreds.
