Bruce was born in Toronto Ontario Canada in 1929 to the late Joseph and Margaret Gillan. He was one of three boys to bless the family. As a young man, he met Catherine Honan and the rest was history. They married and soon immigrated to the US making their home in the Indian Lake section of Denville. Bruce proudly served our country with the US Army. They lived here for over 50 years before moving to Mt. Arlington. Bruce worked hard to provide a good life for his family. He retired from Amica Insurance after many years of hard work. In his spare time he loved watching hockey; especially when the Toronto Maple Leafe played the NY Rangers! He enjoyed golfing at Peace Pipe and any day on the golf course was a great day.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Catherine; he leaves his children Carole and her husband Bill Agard of Arizona and Andrew Gillan and his wife Lisa of North Carolina; his four grandchildren; five great grandchildren and many dear friends.
