The short time we knew one another was cherished by me. I felt you were my friend, one without expectation. I knew you were going through alot even tho it didn't have to be spoken. I was glad to pick up the phone so we could talk unless I felt unwell myself, and talk we did.........until it became too much and I got on your nerves and the convo ended. And I understand. I feel lucky to have met you and we had many insightful talks. Yes, you got on my nerves due to your stubborness, but we always made peace and from me it was always coming from a concerned, good place, you brat. So many times you didn't want to continue talking because you knew I was right and you always found a reason to exit the conversation LOL LOL, love you Mark!! I was always on to you. How I hate you are gone!!! I wanted more time, more time to help, more time to be involved, to interstand, guide, more time to learn; your spiritual life was very inspiring to me, and a lot of people didn't know this about you except your church life! And thank you for coming to church with me! You were liked therer. I have to trust in our Lord's agenda, albeit it it is hard and difficult to understand. I'm glad I could be there the times you needed help and I enjoyed cooking or you. I'm going to miss you friend.

I offer my condolences to the Ayers Family on the passing of Mark. I knew him through Our Savior Lutheran Church in Stanhope, NJ. He was a deeply religious person and was very dedicated to the Church and its work. He was always very friendly, willing to help in any way, and was a steady and faithful worshiper. I am sad to learn of his passing, but know he is free from the illness and challenges he faced. I am sure he is enjoying his great reward in that House not made with Hands Eternal in the Heavens. Rest in Peace my Brother.

I am so sorry to hear about Mark. I remember when my family lived in Hopatcong and all the children played together. He had a lot in common with my husband Bill with cars. He would come and visit Bill and talk cars. We knew the whole family and he was such a nice young man.

Mark was my neighbor for many years. He was a happy go lucky person with a big hart and smile on his face and always willing to help. We shared lots of chit chat, some beers throughout those years. If I wanted to talk with him, all I needed to do is take a walk to the back yard, Mark was always tinkering, working on some small engine in his shed. He toke pride on fixing anything came across his bench. I missed seeing them after they moved, still kept in touch. Good men gone way too fast. All your pain and worries are gone. Rest in peace my friend. Sincere condolences to the Ayres family. Sorry for your loss.

Rest in Peace Mark, we had some extraordinary times growing up together. Always happy and eager to laugh. Apple throwing fights, snow ball fights with the occasional toss at the cars on Brooklyn mtn rd to mention just a few. The years may draw people apart but the memories are forever cherished as are my memories of growing up with you and the entire family.
Our sincerest condolences to all the Ayers brothers and sister, your family and friends on your loss, so young.

Mark was not only my brother but he was my friend. We have had our bad times but we also shared so many good times and made so many memories. We were close in age by 3 years and shared so many of the same mutual friends. I have learned so much knowledge from Mark growing up on fixing things from plumbing down to small engines and with out the knowledge that Mark passed down to me over the years I wouldn't be where I am today. Mark had a rough life but no matter what during all things that he went through he still would be there for anyone and lend a helping hand when possible. His fun loving big heart is what drew people to him that created his circle of friends. Mark you are now at peace and pain free. Fly high with the angels since you are in Gods hands as well as back in the arms of Mom and Dad. You will be missed brother..

I'm so sorry to have learned of Mark's passing. He was so nice to have shared his sympathies when my father passed away in July 2020. I was able to spend some time with Mark at that time and it was so very much appreciated. He will be missed. The countless memories I have of growing up together will always bring a smile to my face when I think of him. May God comfort all of you in this time of loss.
