Frances Muriel Walker passed away in Milford, NJ on May 13, 2021, just over a month shy of her 102nd birthday.

Born in Union City, NJ, she grew up in Bayville and raised her two daughters in Haworth, NJ.

She had a variety of jobs which consisted of a seamstress, bus driver, and working at her brother’s gas station, but she was most proud of her time spent at the post office.

Her retirement years were spent traveling and dancing. She spent lots of time between her homes on the west coast of Florida and Denville, NJ. Dancing was a huge part of Frances life. She spent 3-4 nights a week with friends at multiple dance functions. She not only loved to dance but she loved to get dressed to the nines in her self- made attire and jewels.  In her last years, she moved permanently to Harrogate in Lakewood, New Jersey where she was able to spend lots of time with her great grandchildren who she loved and adored.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Johnnie Walker in 1999, and by her long-time partner, Al Hardiman as well as her daughter Lacey Sharon Thiery.  She is survived by her daughter Sandra Lee Benardella and her husband Joseph of Norwood, NJ, her son in-law Robert K. Thiery Jr. as well as her cherished grandchildren Jody Kirschenmann of Milford NJ,  Lacey Smicklo and her husband Keith of Toms River, NJ,  Joseph Benardella III and his wife Lorie of Moorestown, NJ, Stacy Schembari and her husband Frank of Belle Meade, NJ, Tracy Franco and her husband Louis II of Mahwah, NJ, as well as her cherished great grandchildren Robert and Ryan Kirschenmann, Lacey Evelyn Smicklo, Louis, Jenna and Nicholas Franco, and Gianna Michella Schembari.
