To the Kopas Family,
I was a shocked to hear that MaryAnn had passed away. She was a beautiful and wonderful person with always a smile on her face - just like the picture that is posted. I worked with her briefly at Tinc Road but knew her with other Mt. Olive school functions. She is now re-united with her husband and they are both your "angels" watching over you. Keep her memories within your heart where she will live forever. She is now at peace in the arms of Jesus in Heaven. May God ease your pains at this most difficult time. God Bless the Kopas Family.

My name is Tim Francis. Maria Kopas and I are work-teammates at Great Assistant LLC.
Although I didn't personally know Mary Ann, I suspect I've gotten an important part of her spirit through working with Maria. Maria's passion for family is both beautiful and unmistakable.
I've often said that Maria is our team member who is, "the straw that stirs the drink" on our business team. Maria radiates commitment, family, deep contribution, and a can-do spirit on our team. Her passion to do well by others is as infectious as it is world class.
In getting to know the Kopas family, including more recently the influence of Mary Ann, it seems this timeless expression rings true: "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree." The qualities our team deeply appreciates in Maria are the same qualities espoused by Matriarch Mary Ann.
I've been moved to hear of the influence Mary Ann has had on both Maria's life and the Kopas family at large. It's abundantly clear that Mary Ann's legacy of kindness, generosity and contribution will live forever through the acts of kindness the Kopas family demonstrates each and every day. Although it's easy to overlook the simple gesture of holding a door for a stranger, or helping a child to tie their shoes, a lifetime of these small gestures are *the* difference. Like how a small domino makes a larger domino fall, causing an ever bigger one to fall, it's incredible how the small gestures really can change the world.
Upon reading Mary Ann's obituary, I'm only further convinced the Kopas family is a very special one. In this day-and-age where families are living geographically further apart, the pandemic has created physical distance, and our "online lives" dominate our worlds more than ever, a sacred family bond and sense of belonging can be harder to come by, requiring more intentional commitment than ever. I tip my cap to the Kopas family for making that commitment to stay strong.
To Maria, Kevin, and Niko, our whole business team carries heavy hearts for both Matriarchs of your family being lost in such a short timespan. We love you dearly and are here at your side.
Warmly,
Tim Francis

I was shocked when my daughter Ann Gancarcik emailed me that Mary ann had passed. My husband Tom and I would visit his mon and sister Betty in NJ for vacations. We always were invited to Mary ann and Jacks house or Mike and lois for a cook out. before we left for our home. A lot of funny stories were shared as Tom Jack and Mike were always getting to trouble or pulling jokes on people. Our last trip out many years ago they werent able to make it to Paulines and Don Symond sfor dinner. willl cherish all those memories prayers and comfort to the family

This is shocking news. We are comforted that MaryAnn is in her heavenly home with Jack, and the rest of the Kopas clan. My family has lots of memories of our trips to New Jersey to visit my aunt Betty (my dad's sister). Betty always has a cookout and everyone came. There were other times we either went to visit at Jack and MaryAnn's home or Michael and Lois's home. Most of our trips were to research our ancestors.
Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. Love to all .

This is such heartbreaking news. Mary Ann was truly a gift to all who knew her. She was caring, funny, selfless, thoughtful, hardworking and a million other beautiful things. Not a day went by at Tinc Road School that wasn't made brighter by her being part of our school family. I am so sorry for your incredible loss. Mary Ann was so loved by everyone who knew her. I have been blessed to have been able to call her a friend.

Sending loving thoughts to the Kopas family -- we all have lost a beautiful bright star. I had the pleasure of working with MaryAnn for many years at Tinc Road. I have never met a more thoughtful, generous, loving, or downright hilarious person. MaryAnn was the creative spark behind so many celebrations at Tinc -- I treasure the beautiful book she made for me for one of my big birthdays. She was a shining star in my yoga classes, and a willing participant in all of my Chick Day stunts -- I have photos to prove it! I never saw the woman in a bad mood. She loveloveloved her family and was a sparkling role model for how humans should be. I know I was enriched by her presence on Earth and I'm sure anyone who met her would say the same.

To all of Mary Ann's family,
Our heartfelt sympathy at the loss of Mary Ann. Mary Ann was full of love, hugs, laughs, giggles and kind words for everyone she knew. I recently called her to get together and was concerned because she didn't answer or call back. I had been praying for her ever since and hoping she was OK. I will always remember her and all of you.
Sending hugs and love.
