Obituary of Enid Barbara Stokes

Enid Barbara Stokes (Hutcheon) passed away at her home in Rockaway Twp., NJ surrounded by her family on April 20, 2021, at the age of 63.

 

Born in Red Bank, she grew up in Rockaway Borough and attended Morris Hills High School. She lived in Rockaway Twp. for most of her life.

 

Enid worked in the service industry for her entire career and at Arthur’s Tavern in Morris Plains, NJ for 12 years.  She found great joy in cooking for family and friends and no one would ever leave her home hungry.  She loved to travel and had a particular fondness for the tropical beaches of Aruba and the Bahamas.  She also found comfort in feeding the wildlife in her back yard.

 

Enid is survived by her beloved husband of 32 years, Thomas E. Stokes of Rockaway Twp.,  Her loving children Jason and his wife Laura Ragel of Jefferson Twp., Thomas II and his wife Shellie Stokes of Blairstown, NJ, and Dylan Stokes and his fiancé Emily Graner of Aurora, CO.  She is also survived by her niece Catherine Monroe of Tannersville, Pa and her cherished grandchildren Tristan, Bryce, Lincoln and Maddox, as well as her siblings Robert Hall of AZ, Glorya Jane Noyes of FL, Betsy Brooks and Bob McWilliams of TX, and Cathrine and her husband Lee Ungerecht of FL, as well as many additional nieces and nephews.

 

Enid is preceded in death by her parents, Catherine Carmella and William Ronald Hutcheon and her sister Rhonda Kay MacFarlane.

 

Memorial visitation will be held on Sunday April 25, 2021, from 2:00PM to 4:30PM with shared memories and eulogies to begin at 4:30PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ 07834 www.normandean.com. 

 

Memorial donations can be made in her memory to Breast Cancer research by way of inmemof.org.
