Antionette Everette was born in Manhattan, New York on September 8th 1961 and was one of three children to bless the Everette Family, Russell H. and Bernadine Everette.

She attended Newtown High school which is where she first met her one and only husband (they knew each other since the 8th Grade).   After graduating she attended La Guardia Community College, graduated with her associates degree in Business and started her career in various businesses until she was hired at Equitable Life Insurance now named AXA Equitable Life Insurance 1290 6th Ave in Manhattan. Why this is so significant is because after 20 years of losing track of each other God so fit at the age of 37 to bring Antoinette and her husband Edward Dwayne Williams back together. First speaking to Dwayne, as he is known by friends and family, who was on an IT Consulting assignment at equitable, heard a voice as he was leaving the cafeteria of the business building, “Go Stand over There Next to That Woman”. At first he ignored the voice, but you know when God is speaking to you so the words become more audible in his ear and forceful. Saying “I SAID GO STAND OVER THERE NEXT TO THAT WOMAN”. God had a plan for Antoinette and Dwayne’s life. So, after complying with the words spoken in his ear by God, he walked over to her shoulder to shoulder with her.

Antoinette had an overwhelming urge to tap Dwayne on the shoulder and say “Hi I know this sounds like a line or cliché but I have an overwhelming feeling that I know you from somewhere. Dwayne turned to look at her and immediately recognized who it was. He said to her after 20 years of not seeing or hearing from each other Antoinette Everette isn’t it? Her mouth dropped. An intimate relationship of reminiscing quickly developed and on June 26, 1999 they were married by Rev Floyd Flake at a Marriage Enrichment retreat all expenses paid for by Allen AME Church in Jamaica, NY. They were blessed with a son, Isaiah and her family circle and heart were complete. The family moved to New Jersey in 2003 and later owned a beautiful home in Springfield where they shared fond memories with their church and blood related families.

Before moving to NJ Antoinette landed a career at IBM as Sr Consulting Specialist in 2001. May 2017 Antoinette graduated from Rutgers University where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Business Management. Also in 2017 she landed new position at American International Group (AIG) Finance and insurance group. That same year the married couple was given the unfortunate news that Antoinette had contracted metastatic thyroid cancer which there is no cure for. But she did not let that stop her.  With her loving husband by her side, caring for her through 4 remissions, the removal of her thyroid and various other operations and radiation therapy treatments, Antoinette and Dwayne continued to travel, have Friday date night dinner and a movie and not letting on to anyone the serious health conditions she was enduring at her request.

Her final career position was at the multinational Consumer Goods company Unilever as a Logistics Operations Analyst. Working from home Antoinette was able to put all her skills and experience to use and feel alive and making a difference again. Antoinette and her husband were volunteers of the Media Ministry here at Christ Church for several years until the covid pandemic put a hold on that passionate calling of theirs. On February 27th 2021, Antoinette was admitted to Overlook Hospital in Summit Nj where she spent her last week of fighting for the 4th time the metastatic cancer that had come back very, very aggressively.  After not being able to physically visit his wife for three weeks including Valentine’s Day in February, Overlook had visiting hours from 12pm to 8pm everyday and her husband was there every day.

On Sunday March 7th 2021 Dwayne received a call from the Dr at the hospital stating that he needed to come to the hospital now (9:30am). Because his wifes condition had severely worsened. At 1:50pm on Sunday March 7th Antoinette’s husband was with her in a non-Covid related ICU room as she went home to heaven free of the pain and suffering, she had endured for so long.  Her son Isaiah, family members and church family members were allowed to come into the ICU room at Overlook when they arrived after she had passed.

Antoinette was preceded into heaven (in only the past five years) by her Mother Bernadine Everette, her Father Russell H. Everette, her sister Jackie Everette and her brother-in-law Mack Logan. Antoinette leaves to cherish her love of life and memories, her beloved husband of 21 years Edward Dwayne Williams, her son Isaiah Malik Williams, her sister Reverend Bernadette Logan, her nieces Latishia Towles and Lashawna Logan, her nephew Mack Logan III , nephew in law Fred Towles, niece in law Anisa Logan, Kita Logan and her husband Eugene, a Father in law William Edward Williams, Mother in Law Frankie Mae Williams, brothers in law Rus and Marvin Williams, sisters in law Kim Campbell-Williams and Sandra Santana, nieces Reign, Trinity, Sierra and Sabrina and a host of friends, colleagues, family members and church family members from Christ Church and Fountain Baptist Church in Summit NJ. She will be greatly, greatly, greatly missed but never ever forgotten.
