Steve was born in March of 1956 to the late Walter and Claire Mykowski. He was the first of three children to bless the family. After graduating Seton Hall Prep in 1974, Steve went on to obtain a BA from Montclair State University. He worked for UPS for almost 25 years.
Steve was an avid reader and enjoyed many different genres. He enjoyed theatre and plays and before 2020 spent many afternoons and evenings in NYC soaking up shows and events.
He was snarky and had a sarcasm about him like no other. He enjoyed the Far Side Comic strip and a good laugh always. He was fond of cats and enjoyed the company of Schmizzle, the feline for many years. He cared deeply for his family and friends and devoted himself to his parents in their final years. He truly was a “family guy”.
Predeceased by his parents Walter & Claire and his sister Carol Lopez; he leaves his sister Theresa Greenwald (Walter); nieces and nephews Lindsey and Michael Greenwald, Timothy McIntire and Ashley Graham; great niece Vayda Graham; and many dear friends.
