Obituary of Johanna A. Bell
Johanna A. Bell passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Care One at Hanover in Whippany. She had shared 93 years of unconditional love, laughter, and amazing memories with family and friends.
Born in Holland, Johanna was raised in Paterson where she graduated from High School. She married the love of her life and her true soulmate, William “Bill” Bell, Jr., in 1948. They settled into Denville and their family soon grew to four. She was the most attentive wife, doting mother, and affectionate Grandma. As a religious woman, Johanna read the bible every day and truly lived her life with the Lord in her heart and actions. Johanna was an active and devout member of Bible Fellowship Church of Denville where she played the piano for decades. Although we are saddened by her passing, we take comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her beloved husband Bill who passed in 2012, her parents and siblings.
She leaves many joyful memories to her adored sons, William “Bill” (Debbie) Bell III and Robert J. (Lisa Koves) Bell; her cherished grandchildren, Shawn, Caitlin (Stephen), and Douglas; and many more extended family and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, December 4th at 10 am at Denville Cemetery, Savage Road, Denville. Please leave a condolence, light a candle, and share your favorite memory of Johanna here to continue to celebrate the beautiful life she endowed to us.
