Obituary of Evelyn Gillich

Evelyn Gillich (nee Seals), formerly of Cranford passed away on November 26, 2020 after contracting the Covid -19 virus.  Raised in Elizabeth, she was a graduate of Baton High School and worked as a secretary for the Elizabeth Board of Education and later for the law firm of McDonough and Sullivan.  Evelyn also volunteered for the Summit Speech School for the Hearing Impaired.

She was the beloved wife of 67 years to the late John Gillich; loving Mother to Steve Gillick and his wife Bernadette; Evie Schwartz and her husband Steve, Cathy Betz and her husband Ken and Jeanne Siemer and her husband Charles; adored Grandmother to Nicole, Caitlin, Kevin, Eileen, Erica and Brendan. 

Evelyn was happiest when her family was together.  She was the thread that held them together and will be missed beyond words.  In her beautiful memory, we ask that you please wear a mask.
