Obituary of Janet M. Beach

 Janet M. Beach (Wieder) passed away at Morristown Medical Center on November 22, 2020, at the age of 81.

Born in Orange, she grew up on her family farm in Parsippany, then moved to Boonton for 14 years and finally to Denville, New Jersey, where she lived for the last 27 years.

She worked in the engineering department of the Naval division at Bell labs in Whippany New Jersey for 30 years before retiring in 2002. Her passions included yard work, crocheting, shopping, entertaining, getting her hair done and going to Cape May Beach. But what she really loved the most was spending time with her family.

Janet’s love and nurturing was reflected in everything she embraced with her whole heart. It could be seen in the things she cared for, from the simple things like her  flourishing lawn and houseplants to the plight of strangers, volunteering at 77 years old to help her church group rebuild a home for an impoverished family in the south. Everything she touched flourished in her care, especially the bonds of the family she leaves behind. Although she is gone from us, the fabric of love she has woven can never be taken. It will be a constant reminder of her and a testament to her legacy.

Janet is survived by her loving children, Glen, his wife Lauren Beach of Landing, New Jersey, Cheryl, and her husband George Shwab of Nesconset, New York and Laura and her husband James Halpin of Highland Lakes, New Jersey. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Victoria and Amanda Halpin, George, Jenna and Ally Schwab, Heather and Erin Stank and her great granddaughter Stella Luna Anderson.

A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
