Dewain Crim passed peacefully at home on October 7, 2020. He shared 77 years of love and faith with his family and friends. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 12, 2020 at 10 am at Faith Family Fellowship Church, 126 Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Dover. Interment to follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover. Walkthrough visitation will be held on Sunday, Oct. 11th from 2-4 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville. Donations in his memory may be made to the good work of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by way of www.inmemof.org or by mail to 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Dewain was born in West Virginia in January of 1943. After his schooling he headed to NJ to start his career. He met Cecilia Regetz one evening and they started dating. In 1964 they married and eventually settled in Indian Lake section of Denville where they raised their children. Dewain worked hard to give his family a good life. He retired from Weiss-Aug after many years of service. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fresh water fishing. He spent hours at the Denville Community Gardens and truly loved being outdoors. He was an active member of Faith Family Fellowship Church and cherished all of his relationships. Above all, Dewain loved being with his family. He was blessed to be called Grandpa by ten and Great Grandpa by three little ones. He loved spending time with the kids and being home with his four legged friends Holly and Lola.
He leaves his wife Cecilia of 56 years; his children Donna McIntyre (Rodney), Patricia Siek (George) and Dewain Jr. (Monica); his grandchildren Stephen, Moustapha “Henry”, Heather, P.J., Catherine, Theodore, Nicholas, Kathryn, Noah and Joshua; his great grandchildren Hailey, Cooper and Jasper; his siblings Shirley Starsick (John), Genevieve Stout, Bertha Barth, Lou Allison and Lester Crim; his best pals Matthew and Jared and many more dear relatives and friends.
