Barbara and Family - We were so very sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. When we think of "Type A" personalities, a picture of Jerry comes up. Judy's father and our many friends shared Jerry's Picatinny team mentality. Most were/are gregarious, friendly and patriotic. Jerry knew Judy's father as many at the Arsenal did: 'the man who wore cowboy boots.' We shared Jerry's enthusiasm for the Yankees. Rest in Peace Jerry!

Jerry was such a funny guy. My daughter and I met Jerry about 2yrs. ago. He was so funny. Loved talking about his wood working. Showed us everything he made. He would talk about his wife Barbara and all their memories. He always joked with my daughter michelle about her liking the mets. She loved him and called him Jer Bear. We will miss him deeply. Rest In Peace Jerry.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm glad that I had the chance to meet Jerry. He was a unique man. As I just came over from Germany I had a tough time to understand his jokes. I still remember that after a joke he said "very funny, uh, very funny" and he had a bright smile on his face.
Dear Smith and Valentine family I send you all my thoughts, stay strong. I will light a candle for him. Love, from your german family member, Kathleen

To the Smith family,
I'm so very sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. However, I wanted to share with you a special memory. To this day, I still remember Jerry from the first time I met him at Lisa's college graduation party. Jerry was filled with laughter and animated stories. He was the life of the party. I hope you remember him as I do.. a good guy who brought zest and happiness to everyone around him.
Sincerely,
Johnny Dula

Dear Barbara and family, We were so sorry to hear about Jerry’s passing! He fought a long tough fight with all he had and he is now at peace! We have so many fun recollections of Jerry from our SMH reunions! Always with that smile keeping everyone laughing! He and Sully would share their great love for Notre Dame!
Take comfort in remembering all the fun times you shared and how much he loved you. Beautiful memories outlast the pain of grief. May he rest in God’s loving peace. You are in our thoughts and prayers. God bless. Love you. Ro & Sully
