My heart is so broken to know a world without Claire.
She was always up for an adventure and one of the absolute dearest souls I ever had the pleasure to know and call friend. From breakfasts at Carvers to pink witches on broadway and everything in between...we were likeThelma and Louise!
Claire, the world lost a bright light when you passed.
I will miss you with all my heart.

So sorry to hear of Claire's passing. The Holden's all lived on Summit Drive just a few houses down from our family. We had so much fun sledding down McDermott Pass and just having fun in the neighborhood. Later, the whole family moved over to the other side of the lake on West Shore Road.

I met Claire years ago as we were supporting our sons on the soccer field. She was always a positive spectator and made the soccer moms laugh. At one party at the lake for the soccer ⚽️ team, Claire did something amazing for our family. My youngest son went down the water slide and expected to touch bottom. He didn’t!!! He started struggling and thrashing about. Claire, God bless her, was the first to notice. She sprang into action!! She ran into that river fully clothed, pockets full, cell phone unprotected, glasses off and rescued my son!! When I think what could have happened......thank you Claire. May you Rest In Peace and be happy and content through eternity. Peace to your family members. You are a special woman!! Xoxo

We’re so saddened by the loss of Claire. Claire welcomed our family into the Rock Ridge community with open arms. Since then, we’ve been able to make life-long friends and couldn’t have done it without her. Claire opened her home to others and demonstrated so many ways to love and be loved. She was the backbone of fun winters, springs, summers, and autumns. From taking part in swimming competitions to snowboarding down mountains, Claire lived with an excitement for life to be shared by all. Her blue Honda Odyssey was always full of joy and adventure. May her legacy live on in the fun we’ve yet to have.
With love,
The Man Family

Claire welcomed me into the family when her late father brought me to Rock Ridge Lake. She included me and kept in touch through the years after Cliff's death, even visiting me many times in Florida and Alabama. Our walks on the shore of the Gulf Coast and heartfelt talks are fond memories and dear to my heart. I'm sure Tawny met her at the Rainbow Bridge and they went across together. God's Grace on you, Claire, and now, Peace

Hard to pick a favorite, because Aunt Claire was such a beautiful person inside and out, but if I had to pick one it would be the time I came to visit and hit the side of my rental car while leaving the rental place. She tried so hard to help me cover the damage with a car marker. The damage was so obvious but that didn’t stop her from trying for a few hours to make it look better. Unfortunately they had me on camera hitting the car while leaving so it was all for not, but I’ll always cherish those hilarious few hours we had trying to fix the damage as well as the countless other amazing moments I was fortunate enough to have with my incredible Aunt Claire <3

Claire was one of the first people we met when we moved here. She was serenely walking her dog and gave us a smile and a hello. I was always happy to see her at the lake and around Rock Ridge. Things won't be the same without her warm presence.

My heart goes out to the family at his very sad time. Thank goodness at this unimaginable time like this I have such wonderful memories of my time spent with Claire and the love of her playing volleyball on the Hub Lake team was when I first meant Claire back in 1987. Being at the Lake together with our children and Claire swimming so well another one of her passions. Later on we would watch the sun setting there together while the kids were playing in the sand. Love & Sympathy, Ginny McCrink

I grew up with Claire in Rock Ridge Lake and spent much of my childhood in her home. Claire was fun and always inquisitive! We explored together, played in Hub Lakes volleyball and swim team and swung from the trapeze (in her living room!). While I have not been in touch with Claire for many years, her obituary certainly describes the Claire that I knew and loved! RIP Claire. God Bless

To the Murray family,
We will always remember Claire for her support of the Rock Ridge Swim Team. As the team fought for every point in the Hub Lakes finals, we could always rely on Claire to swim a relay and help the team.
Please accept our deepest condolences for your loss.
Wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead, and loving memories to forever hold in your heart.

Claire was a shining light on Rock Ridge Lake...she never said an unkind word to or about anyone. I loved our rides to Camelback Ski mountain when our boys were little, and sharing many stories while floating on our kayaks-
Who can forget all of those family camp outs she hosted, as well as her awesome participation in numerous women’s relay races for Hub Lakes- !
Claire was such a warm generous person, she will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known her.
