A little over 3 years ago I went to the Bistro at The Oaks to have breakfast and that’s when I met a very dear and special friend. We realized we had a lot in common. We both graduated from St. E’s (but she also went to the Academy), she loved the Shore and I grew up there, and she loved to shop at Chico’s and the Christmas Warehouse. We enjoyed many good times together. As time went on she developed health challenges which were very difficult for her to accept. But she was determined to do the best she could and keep her independence for as long as possible. Ann— you’ll be remembered for your smile, your love and pride of family, your enjoyment of good food and conversation, the Bingo and Left-Right-Center games and the recognition at the Oaks cocktail parties when “Irish Eyes are Smiling “ was played. Ann— you are missed. God has welcomed you home. Rest In Peace good and faithful servant. Love, Libby

When I taught fifth grade at Sussex Avenue School, Ann was a most supportive parent. I was privileged to teach three of her children: Kristen, Mary, and Brian which gave me three times as many parent contacts: conferences, class plays, concerts, etc. Ann was always there for all of her children, and she was active in the Home and School Association. Since we saw each other often at school functions, we discovered that we were both alumnae of the College of St. Elizabeth!
My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family, especially my former students Kristen, Mary, and Brian.

I’ve know Ann’s daughter Kristen over 20 years and I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Ann a number of times, including at a concert in which Kristen sang years ago, up through Kristen & Bobby’s wedding, and after, when Ann was hospitalized. Through all those times, I enjoyed getting to know the reserved, yet witty, charming lady I mostly knew through Kristen. I enjoyed the times I spoke with Ann, and especially enjoyed time with her the day of Kristen & Bobby’s wedding. Ann talked about, and I finally met, her children & other family members. Ann was proud of her family and really enjoyed being with all of them that day. I wish I had more time to get to know and spend time with Ann; we had some good laughs together. My sincerest condolences to her family and friends. May Ann rest in peace in Jesus’ arms.
Sincerely with love, Marie Rizzuto
