Dear Mrs. Lodato, Pat, Carlene, David, and Joe and Families,
We are all so sorry for your loss. When I spoke with my sisters about Donna, the word that kept coming up was "kind". I remember a time when she babysat for us. When she came upstairs to check on us, none of us were in our own beds much less asleep. She didn't get upset with us. In fact, she sat on the bed for a few minutes and talked before gently sending us back to our rooms.
That description of kindness extends to all of you. We feel so lucky to have been your neighbors, to have grown up with you, and that Donna touched our lives. We will keep you close in thought and in our prayers.
Susan, Donna, Sarah, Katie, and Julie

Donna was a beautiful soul. Although we were not blood relatives, I do feel like we were family that have grown up together. She never missed a DeLuca/Amato gathering and there were always plenty of those! She was a cheerleader for my children as they were growing up, and she'd always take the time to compliment the way I was raising them. That always meant so much to me, that she always took time to do that. That stands out in my mind, almost as much as the way children and animals would gravitate toward her. I have always believed that children and animals could find the kindest of souls. I've heard her described as "selfless", and at the risk of overusing that word, I cannot think of a better one to describe her. My sincere condolences to the family, and I pray that God carry you all through this terrible time and you all take comfort in the many wonderful memories you have of her. My heart breaks with you all, and I want you to know I can speak for my entire family when I say we will never forget her. May she rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon her always. Until we meet again, sweet Donna....
