Please share a memory of Anne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Anne M Newman (Donald), also known as Donna, 69, of Mount Tabor, passed away Saturday May 16th 2020 at Saint Claire’s of Denville. She was born September 15th 1950 to Ella and David Donald in Scotland. She graduated from Parsippany High School in 1968. She was married to Robert W Newman in 1969. Anne is survived by her husband Robert Newman, her daughter Anne Marie Torres, her sister Ellen Milelli, her granddaughters Ella Torres and Piper Wing, her son-in-law Roger Torres, her brother-in-law Andy Milelli, her nephew Shawn Milelli and her Great Niece Nicole Milelli.  She was predeceased by her parents Ella and David Donald and her son David Newman.

Anne spent her younger years as a beautician. She then began her career of an at home child care provider. During those years she helped care for and shape many children. Each and every one of them were loved as if they were her own. Many of them continued their relationships and bonds well into their adulthood with her. For many years, she was also known as the local Avon Lady. Upon her retirement, she had recently been able to enjoy spending time with her Granddaughters’ Ella and Piper. Anne was very proud and excited to be a Grandma and enjoyed spending time with them and spoiling them. Both girls always put a huge smile on her face and kept her feeling young, as long as they possibly could.

Anne was a member of the United Methodist Church of Mount Tabor for many years. She enjoyed her many years of teaching Sunday School to the young children. She also participated in many church functions and community service events.

Anne loved music. She was a huge Elvis Presley Fan and was able to enjoy a visit to Graceland with her husband. She also enjoyed several cruises with her Husband along with her favorite family trips to Disney World. She was a kid at heart and loved spending time with family and friends. Anne also loved to decorate for every holiday. Her favorite was putting up her Christmas Village each year. Many people would pass by each December to see it and look for what new village pieces were added each year.

Anne loved watching old shows and game shows on TV. She also enjoyed reading, doing word searches, and puzzles. She also enjoyed cooking and baking and was very well known for her homemade chocolate chip cookies and shortbread. Both of which will be missed by many.
