We are so sorry to hear of the passing of your mom during this most horrible of times. Although I did not know her well I could tell the type of person she was by listening to you two speaking of her. Always with a smile. And I will raise a Coors light for her memory. Take care and cherish your memories

Sue,
We feel blessed & appreciate that we were given the opportunity to know you and through that relationship got to know your Mother...your Mom was full of life & love - a joy to be around! You could never visit without having a drink or something to eat. She was an amazing woman - always cheerful and we admired her.
Jim and I will forever miss her. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Sue, Michele and Maureen,
I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was a really special person -- just a ray of sunshine. What I remember most is her smile and the easiness of her laugh. She instilled so much of her warmth in you. I know that there will be a void, Sue. For a tiny person she had a hugely positive impact : ). I hope you find some comfort in just how much of her lives on in you and your families. You will all be in my thoughts...

Annie McCue our beloved Nan!
We loved you so much girlfriend a "bushel and a peck!" You would sing this song to Michele and Steve's girls while you danced around the house and honestly back in the day, I thought Nan wrote this little "ditty" not Doris Day!! I am so blessed to have shared one, well maybe 2 ;) icy cold Coors Lite with you on what would be your last birthday. You were such a lady and exemplified love and kindness to every life you touched....and in your words, "it's a pleasure to labor for those you love", and yes Nan you did.
Although we will miss you terribly, it brings us great peace to know you are safely home in the arms of our loving Savior and your loving husband Spanky!
Michele and Susan, all our love and prayers to you both and your families as we not only mourn the loss of our beloved Nan but celebrate the life of such an amazing woman! MeMare and Michael Travostino

A hug around the neck and a barrel and a heap
A barrel and a heap and me'm talkin' in my sleep"

Ann - We will miss you very, very much! From the day we met you held a very special place in our hearts and will forever!
Even though their was miles between us we always felt near and dear to you and your family and will continue to do so.
From the day I met your daughters and the awesome friendship that we created I said to myself I have to meet the parents of these beautiful people in my life and the upbringing and strong catholic faith they continue to demonstrate to their own family and children. When I met Ann & Bill in Kentucky they well surpassed my expectations! What loving, caring and fun people they were that their presence was contagious to all. From the dedicated faith, to the love they showed for all their children and grandchildren to the fun times of dancing, singing and having a cocktail with these special people I have called my Jersey family since the day we met!
One of the fondest memories we have with Ann is in Cape May when we were blessed to have her stay with us while vacationing at the Cape with the girls and the grandkids. We laughed, laughed so hard we cried, ate, prayed together and of course drank together! We had so much fun and made such fond memories we laugh and smile about it today when we think of that special time we shared with her and will always be in our hearts forever! You have showed us to keep the faith, live life to the fullest and love & enjoy your family and friends. Thank you so much Ann for coming into our lives as we could never get enough of you! Yes, we will truly miss you but we know we will all see you again, with Spank, and all with a Coors light in your hand (in a glass) dancing your irish jig and singing the night away! We love you McCue!
From your Syracuse Family

Sue & her crew come home to NJ every Christmas and for the week have a thousand of Sue’s nearest & dearest friends coming and going. The sounds of laughter and talking fill the house. Just make your way through the crowd and there - in the center of it all - is Mrs. McCue - enjoying every minute! She always said she loved having all the friends & family around. She loved laughter. Is there anyone that hasn’t heard the Stefo (Steve) Christmas tree story? She loved telling it and loved the pranks. That might be the Irish in her. She was so blessed to have such loving family & friends and to be able to enjoy them all so much for 95 years is inspiring. We are grateful for these memories as well the quieter Cape May times. (Apparently they weren’t all quiet.) She was so loved, she will be so missed. Our love & prayers are with the whole McCue family. Kathy & Stefo Knapik

I will always remember Mrs. McCue's endless hospitality. In the early 1980's, as we watched "Knot's Landing" every Thursday in Sue"s living room, only talking during commercials. Many, many Christmas holidays were celebrated at the McCue home and Mrs. McCue was the ultimate hostess. Her smile and huge heart will always be with me. Everyone who knew Ann McCue was truly blessed and forever touched by her love.

My mom and I just flew first class from CVG to EWR 4 weeks ago. Never thought it would be our last flight. She loved it, had a beer before takeoff, at 94.5 years old, they were stunned and forgot to ask me. I savored her enjoyment! Same trip, watching us enjoy skiing and drinking a Coors Light, day before. Never prepared for the void. Miss you so much already! Love, Sue

Michele, this is just such a beautiful tribute and beautiful picture, and I will raise a glass for your mom, Nanny. I wish I knew her better but the times I was with her, especially at the Legion on Friday nights with her friends, she always lit up the room with her joyful spirit. I’m so sorry for your loss, especially at such a difficult time. Hugs to all of you ❤️. Love, Stacey, John and Christina

From the moment I met Ann as a young teenager, she treated me like a part of her family. I am lucky to have 45 years worth of memories of times shared with her. My favorite ones are simply when we would all sit around the kitchen table and just talk and laugh about everyday life! She was a wise woman and just a joy to be around. I will be forever thankful for the valuable life lessons she taught me and I know just the thought of her will make me smile.

Ann Marie Durkin McCue there are not enough words in the Itish-American language to describe her. She was such a wonderful and funny person. Sharon and I loved her as do the whole Daly family. We met Ann through her husband EastOrange Fireman William “Bill” “Spanky” Spencer McCue. Myself and my brother Ed would go with Spanky on Marine Corps Birthday to the Morris Marine Party and then to various other places ending up at the Denville American Legion Post 390 of which we were all members including Ann. We went to so many parties at the McCues and Ann was always the life of the party. She would welcome you in her house like you were her family. We will miss her forever. We miss her hosting her “Coors Light” and once drinking her favorite shot of Tellemore Dew. I know the Ladies of the Friday night crew at the Legion will miss her. As we say in the Irish American Nation Ann “May you be in Heaven a half hour before the Devil knows It. and May the Good Lord hold you in the Palm of his Hand. Ann say hello to Bill and Eddie for Sharon and I. My condolences to Susan, Michele and the whole and Extended McCue Family..
