Obituary of Anna A. Vitolo

Please share a memory of Anna to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Anna A. Vitolo passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at Morris Hills Center in Morristown. She had shared 82 years of unconditional love, laughter, and amazing memories with family and friends.

Born in Jersey City to the late Canio and Lucia Manieri, she was the youngest of five children to bless the Manieri household. Along with her siblings, they were raised in Brooklyn, which is where Anna began a family of her own. When her children were ages 3, 5, & 6 they relocated to their forever home in the White Meadow Lake section of Rockaway Township where she thrived as a Homemaker and Mother. After her children were older, she found her niche as a Keypunch Operator at Crum & Foster Insurance Company in Morristown before working as a Secretary for the College of St. Elizabeth. Unfortunately, Anna was forced into retirement after a terrible car accident in 2001.

Anna was a member of Denville Seniors and loved to go hiking. A true adventurer, she was always ready for a challenge and never turned down the chance to experience new things. Consistently on the go, this dedicated mother of three was the greatest Mother any child anyone could ask for; she was strong, resilient, compassionate, patient, and honest. Family always came first in her life and the rose and set on her grandchildren. Although we are deeply saddened by her passing, we take comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her adored sons, Joseph and Paul, and all her siblings, Rose, Mary, Tina, and Dominic.

She leaves only joyful memories to her treasured daughter, Teressa Nemeth and her husband Michael; her cherished grandchildren, Monika and Michael Nemeth; her caring sister-in-law, Ruth Manieri; and many more extended family and friends.

Memorial Visitation will take place on her birthday, Saturday, September 12th from 10 - 12 pm with Service beginning at 11:45 am. Please leave a condolence, light a candle, and share your favorite memory of Anna here to continue to celebrate the life she shared with us.
