Obituary of Gail F. Spadacenta

Please share a memory of Gail to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Gail F. Spadacenta passed away peacefully, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown. She had shared 62 years of unconditional love, laughter, and amazing memories with family and friends.

Born in Paterson to the late Frances (Stubbs) and Charles J. Dibsick, she was raised in Haledon. One of three children to bless the Dibsick household, Gail graduated from Manchester Regional High School in Haledon. Every summer, Gail and her siblings loved spending time in Ringwood at their summer home. After graduating, she took classes at Katharine Gibbs School in Montclair which lead to her 44-year career with Prudential Life Insurance. She currently holds the position of Director of Compliance at their Roseland location. On September 24, 1983, Gail married her soulmate, Claudio “Skip” Spadacenta at Christ the King Church in Ringwood. Together they settled in the Indian Lake section of Denville and the rest is history.

Gail was very active in her community – both Indian Lake and Denville; she made sure to support the local businesses downtown and had her daughter signed up for every possible activity in Indian Lake. She was an avid reader and world traveler visiting places such as Europe, Mexico, and her favorite, the Caribbean Islands. She loved spending time relaxing by the pool, on the beach, and above all else, spending quality time with her family. Gail was a phenomenal wife, attentive mother, and doting grandmother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and although she was taken too soon from us, we take comfort in knowing we have the greatest guardian Angel shining down, watching out for the family.

Now reunited in Heaven with her Mom, she leaves only joyful memories to her beloved husband of 36 years, Skip; her adored daughter, Nicole Glozzy and her husband Daniel; her cherished grandsons, Lucas and Nathan; her loving father, Charles J. Dibsick; her siblings, David Dibsick and Jan Dibsick and her husband Thomas Dewey; her treasured puppy, Cassie; and nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Public Visitation will take place on Saturday, March 14th from 2 – 6 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville. Memorial Donations are being accepted in Gail’s memory to The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer by way of www.inmemof.org. Please light a candle, leave a condolence, and share your favorite memory of Gail here to continue to celebrate the beautiful life she shared with us.
