Obituary of Dana Lauren Fattorusso

Please share a memory of Dana to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

"You can always tell where a beautiful soul has been by the tears and the smiles left behind."

Dana Lauren Fattorusso shared 38 beautiful years with us all.  Heaven got a little sweeter when she arrived on February 20, 2020.  There are no words that could possibly heal our broken hearts, so we ask that you be present in our lives and keep Dana’s spirit alive as we navigate the waters ahead.  Her greatest blessings, Anthony & Tommy need all of our love and grace.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 28th at 10 am at St. Mary’s Church, 15 Myers Avenue, Denville.  Friends and relatives may visit on Thursday, February 27th from 3pm – 7pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville.  Flowers are lovely, but donations in Dana’s name may be made to the good work of the American SIDS Institute by way of www.inmemof.org

Please share your memories here.  Dana’s family will cherish them forever.

On a beautiful November day in 1981, Dana was born to Linda and Warren Sontos.   She grew up in Denville and graduated from Morris Knolls in 2000.  She then went on to earn her Associates Degree at Morris County College.  She worked in retail for many years before settling in at Siemen’s five years back.  She did graphic design and after a rocky start, kicked butt at it.  She was creative and found her spot there.

On November 29, 2002, she married her high school and longtime sweetheart Joseph Fattorusso.  They have been in love everyday, since the day they met.  In 2009 they were over the moon to welcome their first son Anthony into this world.  In 2014, they were blessed again, with the birth of Tommy.  Now, Dana really had her three kings at home with her.

As perfect a life as one could imagine, there has been heartache along the way.  Dana and Joe lost their beautiful daughter Emily Marie in 2011 to SIDS.  With a heart so big, Dana still had so much love to share.

She was an amazing Mother and adored her boys.  The sun rose and set on them and she loved them dearly.  She was kind and giving and so enjoyed doing everything for her family.  She was a beautiful Aunt and adored her niece and nephew.  She had a glow about her when all of the kids were near!

Dana has continued to be amazing even after her passing.  She donated life through the NJ Sharing Network this past week. "To Honor. To Remember. To Give Hope."

Without a shadow of a doubt we know that she was greeted at Heaven’s gate by two very special Angel babies.  Her big sister (Linda & Warren's first daughter -1979) and Emily Marie (2011).

Dana leaves beautiful memories to her husband Joe of 17 years; her adored sons Anthony & Thomas; her Mom and Dad Linda & Warren Sontos; her sister and brother in law Jill & Tim Adamec; her niece Hope and her nephew Dane; her in laws Georgia & Tom Beattie and Karen Fattorusso; Joe’s Grandmother Marie Fattorusso and his Grandfather Warren Williams; and many more dear relatives and friends.

Her Maternal grandparents Dick and Martha Riva,  her Paternal grandparents Eugene and Mildred Sontos; and her father in law Joseph Fattorusso passed previously.
