Obituary of Peter B. Skolsky
Peter B. Skolsky passed away ay VNA Hospice in Dover, NJ on February 20, 18, 2020, at the age of 81.
Born in Jersey City he had lived in Kearny before moving to the White Meadow Lake section of Rockaway, NJ 52 years ago.
Peter served in the US Navy Seabees and retired from the National Guard. He worked as a Foreman and Chief Switch Operator for P.S.E. & G. for many years before retiring in 2001. He loved fishing, hunting and bird watching, as well as playing cards, domino’s and watching township’s sports programs, as well as the 2 high school football programs. His biggest pleasure was attending his kids and grandkids games through all their playing years.
He was predeceased by his son Bryan A. Skolsky in 1991.
Peter is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Phyllis (Capitti) Skolsky, and his loving children Peter B. Jr. and his wife Ginni Skolsky, and David and his wife Becky Skolsky. He is also survived by his grandchildren Kyle, Katie, Ashtan, Monica, Carlie and Hunter, his great grandchildren Emma, Trenton and Roman as well as his sister Diane Schulmann.
A Celebration of life will be held on March 14, 2020 at 6:00PM at the White Meadow Lake Clubhouse 100 White Meadow Road Rockaway, NJ 07866
Memorial donations can be made in his memory to either the Wounded Warriors or to the American Cancer Society by way of inmemof.org.
