Obituary of Ann Mary Rodelli

Please share a memory of Ann to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ann Mary Rodelli passed away peacefully on her predeceased husband’s birthday, Sunday, January 12, 2020 surrounded by her loving family at Saint Clare’s Hospital in Dover. She shared 87 years of unconditional love, laughter, and amazing memories with her family and friends. Born and raised in Queens, NY, to the late Charles and Anna Gaudi, she was the youngest of six children to bless the Gaudi household. It was in High School that she met the love of her life, Joseph. They were married in 1955 and remained in Queens to start their family. Ann stayed home in Queens to be the head of the household while Joseph proudly served our country in the US Army, stationed in Germany. Ann couldn’t have been prouder of her Army veteran husband; her entire life she was a very patriotic woman. In 1970, Ann and Joseph found their forever home in Denville and continued to grow their family. For a short time, Ann worked as the File Clerk for Newsweek. Above anything else, the sun rose and set on her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandson. Having the role of caregiver for such a big and beautiful family is all she ever wanted, and she was the best at it. Every summer while her children were growing up, they took a vacation to Newport, RI. Besides making priceless memories, she adored looking at all the lighthouses and loved spending time at the beach. She was also a phenomenal cook, always making everything from scratch. According to the grandkids, “everything that Grandma makes just seems to have a little love in it”. Although we are saddened by Mom’s passing, we take comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her beloved husband, Joseph, and caring siblings, Charles, George, Elizabeth, Margaret, and Lawrence. She leaves only joyful memories to her adored children, Michael R. Rodelli of Denville, John G. Rodelli of Staten Island, LoriAnn Medico and her husband Bill of Milford, PA and KerriAnn Komuves and her husband Ted of Wantage; her cherished grandchildren, Joseph, Vincent, and Kayla Rodelli, Paige and Breanne Komuves, Christopher and Stephanie Medico, and Amanda Medico Martinez and her husband Mike; and her treasured great-grandson, Francis “Frankie” Joseph Medico. Memorial Mass will take place on Thursday, January 16th at 10 am at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 15 Myers Avenue, Denville. Burial will follow at Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover. Please leave a condolence, light a candle, and share your favorite memory of Ann here for her family to cherish.
