George & Rose in my mind were always thought of as one, a unit, weather we (Tess and I) saw them at the condo in Mt Arlington or a Christmas get to gether at Lindas house in Denville. They were very kind people. They had alot of concern for others too. When they were in the Mt Arlington condo complex they noticed a young Fillipino girl who was there neighbor. They noticed that she was always alone so remembering that I had just married a Fillipino girl they asked me if I would mind if they gave my number to her so my wife could talk to her mabey they could be friends. Well belive it or not my wife and that girl in Mt Arlington were good friends before they set out on their respective journys to the US to start their new lifes. Both are still best friends to this day! So thanks again George & Rose for caring. You both will be missed by all who new you.

Our memories of George and Rose... from our shared backyard salutations and greetings, shine with the reflection of happy family gatherings, and the joy they gave your young family, and the sparkle in their eyes -- the gifts that you, gave them. Thinking of you in the loss of your beloved father and wishing there were words that could take away your sadness.

To me , Pop-Pop as he was known in my early childhood, was the soft spoken spouse of Nana. My memories go back to him spending hours and hours in the back yard garden at 20 Spruce Street, Quietly mending the house, just keeping out of the line of fire of "you know who". LOL. In later years, he gave wise council as the family patriarch. And in final years, he was a constant in Rose's life. Well, with that vigil completed, he has gone to join our belowed Nana(s) where pain will never bind you. Miss you boss.

Nana and Popsie were a huge part of their grandchildren's upbringing. In a lot of ways they were a second set of parents. There are so many wonderful stories that were told. We are so blessed to have had Popsie as long as we did. He was a gift with his stories and advise. Kind and gentle, soft-spoken and caring, Popsie was our constant. God has welcomed him into His kingdom with open arms. Now we wait until we can be with him again in glory.
Popsie, we love and miss you!

During the past two years I adopted George as a surrogate father. During our weekly visits I learned so much and grew to respect and admire him. He could discuss any topic that came up – gardening, current events, old movies, the Yankees, the weather – anything and everything. I smiled at his poignant concerns that he was losing his memory because he couldn’t remember someone’s name (I assured him it happens to me all the time) or that he would not be ready when TV goes all digital next year. I will deeply miss him and think of him often- every time I throw the coffee grounds on the rose bushes. His family was blessed to have had him for so long and I hope this comforts them.
