I just want to let you know how much I love and miss you. I am sitting here after the wake and the funeral, I can't help but to still feel so much pain. I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to the Barnish family on the loss of their mother, grandmother, aunt, and dear friend. She will be greatly missed but she left a wonderful legacy which will keep her memory alive. I have known Lenore since 1971 when my parents Charles and Mamie Williams bought the home next to them and they thought the world of her and Bill. Lenore cherished her family and you could see the joy on her face whenever she talked about the weddings, births and celebrations. May God be with each and everyone of you and may He give you the strength to go on in her absence.

Grandma,
The only words that come to my mind are I love you and thank you. I love you for the way you loved me, helped raise me and cherished me. I thank you for setting the example of class, thankfulness and thoughtfulness. You always had the right words of encouragement. Whether it was sitting in the stands at hub soccer games, taking our pictures on the first day of school or listening to me sing you always knew the right words to say. I know you worry about me teaching in the big city but I could tell how proud you were.You were also the most generous person I have ever met. It was my honor to finally pay for lunch…even if it was wendy’s. Thank you for teaching us the importance of family. Thank you, just thank you for everything. I feel so blessed to have had you for a Grandma. We will miss you so much but we take comfort that you are in heaven with Grandpa. I love you. Allie.

Although I only personally knew Mrs. Barnish a few short years, my husband worked for the family and knew her very well. He always spoke of her loving nature and how wonderfully kind she was. Dear Paul, Jeanette, Susan, Joan and family, I will forever remember "Mrs. Barnish" for her wonderful smile, her ability to always make you feel welcome and her immediate willingness to lend a helping hand. I know that my mom is now lost and will probably be eating in her room more than she will be eating in the dining room. She loved living just two doors down from Lenore and she always said it was just like Trenton State when they lived just two door away in the dorm. To The Barnish Family,
Our deepest sympathy is with you at this time. My husband and I truly adored Mrs.Lenore Barnish she always had just the right words to say and always gave us encouragement. And on our wedding day which took place this passed August 4, 2007 she give a beautiful set of unity candles for our wedding. This is one of my memories of Lenore and something that both my husband and I will cherish forever. With tear-filled eyes you will be truly missed Lenore and I will miss seeing you at Franciscan Oaks.

My heart, love and prayers reach out to Mrs. Barnish's family. Seldom do I become so close and fond of a resident as Lenore. I am so fortunate to have been surrounded by such a lovely lady. Her love for family was her light, she shared her pictures of grandchildren and great grandchildren and the stories of your visits. I am also fortunate to have met so many of you. We oftened worked on decorating the showcases together at the The Oaks, I walked into work today to the news of her passing. I went to the showcase. I will think of her and see her smile in the reflection of the glass each time I pass and change the decor. She's laugh, and shoot me a look and roll her eyes when too many Chiefs and not enough Indians were assisting on the showcase arrangement! I attended many trips with her and always ended up in her company feeling so welcome and comforted as if she were my own grandmother and friend. Mrs. Barnish always a kind word for everyone. I never met someone who cherished their family so much. She would gush about the family and the babies being borned. We have only known Lenore for one year. She was one of the sweetest, kindest, most gracious women we had ever met.
We feel privileged to have known her. We were so proud when she became our daughter's "grandmother-in-law" this past July.

Grandma was one of the most generous people I have ever met - period. From the white tic tacs she used to keep in her car, to the importance of writing thank you letters, to the Smith Corona word processor I received for my 8th grade graduation, to Harpoon Louie's in Jupiter, Fla. I will always remember our conversation on the drive up from Eaglewood to Disney World. Now she can be with the 2 people she spoke so fondly of that day - her husband and her God.

Grandma,
I just wanted to let you know that I love you so much. I am so grateful for everything you have done for me for the past 24 years. I am really going to miss having you here. You know, people use to always say they saw a fine line of personality traits between you, my Mother, and myself (mostly my Father). I would say "O,Geez" but know, it is true, and I will never say "O, Geez" again. I will now follow that with a great big thank you. Mom, Thank you for being such a wonderful mother. I am who I am today because of you. You taught us the finer things in life, you set an example of what a college education means, you held our hands when we hurt, you wiped our tears in our pain, you gave without us ever asking. You knew just what we needed.
I will miss our early morning phone calls and for the first time in my life, I drove back to Connecticut from planning your funeral and I didn't have you to call to tell you I was home safe.
