Obituary of Sheila Ellen Ahearn

Sheila E. Ahearn Mother Sheila Ellen Ahearn (Aiken) passed away at her home in Parsippany, NJ on October 4, 2007. She was 62 years old. Born and raised in New York City, she has lived in Parsippany for the last 37 years. Sheila graduated from St. Johns University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1966; she then worked as a medical technologist before becoming a wife, mother, and homemaker. She became a teacher for the Parsippany school district for 15 years before retiring in 2004. She was a member of the American Medical Technologists and The Alliance. She received awards for her achievements in and commitments to the Parsippany PTA and St. Christophers religious education programs. Sheila is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, John Ahearn of Parsippany, NJ. Her children Katie Gesue and her son-in-law Joseph of Croton, NY, Kelly Ahearn of Lawrenceville, NJ, Kristin, and John Ahearn both of Parsippany, NJ also survive her. Sheila leaves behind her Grandchildren Rowen and Joseph Gesue, and her sister Laureen Dillon of Parsippany. She is survived by an extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
