Altough i did not know Mr. Barrett for a very long time I have very fond memories of him. He was always very positive and upbeat. Everyone who knew him always had nice things to say about him. I, like many others sincerely enjoyed his company and will miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Uncle Dave, You have meant so much to so many. You are an amazing man who I always admired and respected. Thank you for always showing me how much you loved me. I wish we had lived closer and spent more time together, but I will always cherish the time we did spend together, the talks we've had, and the memories throughout my life that included you. You are one of my heroes and I will never forget you, nor will I likely have anyone in my life like you again. I am so grateful to have been able to see you a few weeks ago. I still feel your arms around me and I can still hear your voice telling me how much you love me.My boys enjoyed your stories and they also love you dearly. I am happy you are in a place that is fitting for a man as wonderful as you. I am sure Our Heavenly Father welcomed you home with open arms. Heaven was certainly missing an angel while you were here being our angel. Please look over me now and then, I could use some pull from above these days. Love you much.
Your niece,
Cathy

No words I can find will allow me to express how much I and my family thought of David.
Well respected, a brilliant man, a man who enjoyed everything he could embrace, a man of principles and strength...a wonderful friend.
I know for sure he will be missed by many because he was loved and thought so highy of by all who knew him.
I am also sure he will enjoy "advising and building" with the "stars" in heaven..When I see a star sparkling the brightest I know it will be him!
Our love, thoughts and prayers are with his family, whom we all know he loved so dearly. God Bless.

Of Dave's many accomplishments, I believe what he was most proud of was his family. His chest inflated and his smile widened when he spoke of his children and grandchildren. And he shared credit for that success with his beloved wife, Cathy. He was quite a man, husband, brother, father, grandfather, and friend! Dave's inner strength, loyalty, realistic optimism, hard-work ethic, sense of humor, keen intelligence and generosity will be missed by all who knew him.

David Barrett wore so many different hats, an inspiration for anyone who knew him. Losing David is an enormous loss in so many aspects. One of the last: honest, ethical, upstanding, compassionate, intelligent, business savy, true gentleman. My heart goes out to his family.

Uncle Dave was a great man. He always was great to talk too. He had a lot of great advice about our business and about life in general. I never heard him say a bad thing about anyone. I'm sorry the distance and our busy lives kept us from seeing him more. I regret not being able to have told him how much I loved and respected him. I hope he knows.
Aunt Cathy,David, Meechie and Billy....I know your sorrow. I'm sorry you have to feel it.
Love you all
